The Company was incorporated under the Company Act of the Province of British Columbia on July 6, 2000 as 610230 B.C. Ltd. and changed its name to Beanstalk Capital Corporation on July 27, 2000. On December 19, 2000 the Company was listed on the Canadian Venture Exchange as a "Capital Pool Company,".

On May 7, 2002 the Company announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Compliance Coal Corporation, a private company based in Vancouver, BC that had the right to develop the coal resources in the Tulameen Coal Basin located near Princeton B.C. On August 30, 2002 the Company completed the acquisition of Compliance Coal Corporation and as part of the acquisition, Beanstalk changed its name to "Compliance Energy Corporation".

Compliance Energy Corporation is focused on maximizing the return from the resources of the Tulameen Coal Basin.
