Proposed Development

By recycling an old mine site we are able to reuse some of the existing infrastructure, which allows us to deliver electricity to BC Hydro more economically.

The Princeton Power Project would utilize a very small portion of the former Similco Mine Site. The Similco Mine Site is approximately 18,000 acres in size, and Compliance would be utilizing approximately 0.3% or 50 acres for the development.  The Project would supply a net 49 MW into the BC Hydro transmission system and would utilize some of the existing infrastructure that is currently at the site.   The Project would be built with a new state of the art emission control system that will ensure that the plant will meet or better all provincial standards for air emissions.
